Our Certified Cloud Security Engineer (C|CSE) course is a comprehensive program focused on cloud services security, developed by experts in the field. It covers aspects such as data security, application protection, maintenance, penetration testing, risk management, incident response and much more.
Aimed primarily at cybersecurity professionals, this course offers a comprehensive approach to security on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud platforms, as well as for private and hybrid architectures. It also provides practical skills and preparation for the C|CSE exam (312-40) for the Certified Cloud Security Engineer certification (for more information, see the certification tab).

Day 1: Cloud Security Fundamentals

This first day focuses on the essential concepts of cloud computing, cloud service models, and associated threats and vulnerabilities. You'll also learn about security assessment models and shared responsibilities, which are crucial to establishing a secure cloud environment and protecting corporate resources.

Day 2: Securing Cloud Platforms and Infrastructure

On this day, you'll explore the main components and technologies of cloud architectures. You'll learn how to secure multi-tenant, virtualized, physical and logical elements. In addition, the module will present configurations and best practices for protecting physical data centers and cloud infrastructures using Azure, AWS and Google Cloud tools.

Day 3: Application security in the cloud

This day is dedicated to securing cloud applications and the changes needed in the secure API development lifecycle. You will also discover the various security services and tools offered by Azure, AWS and Google Cloud.

Day 4: Data protection in the cloud

This day will cover the principles of data storage in the cloud, its lifecycle, and the controls used to protect data stored locally and in transit to the cloud. Storage features, services and tools used to secure data on Azure, AWS and Google Cloud will also be covered.

Day 5: Operations Management and Incident Response in the Cloud

The final day will cover essential security controls for creating, operating and managing cloud infrastructures. You'll also learn about penetration testing to assess the security of cloud infrastructure, as well as the incident response process, including the use of SOAR technologies. Finally, you'll discover the importance of business continuity and disaster recovery, with an overview of the tools available on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.

This training course is aimed at the following audiences:

  • experienced IT professionals such as Cloud engineers, network security administrators or cybersecurity analysts ;
  • any other IT professional responsible for administering a network or Cloud platform.

To follow the Cloud Security Engineer training course, you need the following prerequisites:

  • basic knowledge of cybersecurity, cloud technologies and network security management.

On completion of the Cloud Security Engineer course, you will be able to:

  • Implement threat detection and response systems provided by Azure, AWS and Google Cloud to identify threats to a company's cloud services.
  • Assess and mitigate security risks, threats and vulnerabilities present in a cloud infrastructure.
  • Adopt best practices for securing cloud infrastructure components (network, storage, virtualization and management).
  • Secure enterprise cloud applications by taking into account the secure API development cycle and integrating additional security controls.
  • Develop and implement a customer relationship management framework, incident response plan and business continuity plan for each cloud service.
  • Use the security services and tools offered by Azure, AWS and Google Cloud to protect a company's cloud environment.
    Understand the legal aspects of the cloud to ensure effective protection for the enterprise.
  • Implement operational controls and standards to create, operate, manage and maintain a secure cloud infrastructure.
  • Understand and apply security for private, multi-tenant and hybrid cloud environments.
  • pass the C|CSE exam (312-40) to become a Certified Cloud Security Engineer.
