The CompTIA IT Fundamentals course is designed to help you acquire or validate fundamental IT knowledge and skills. It also enables participants to assess whether a career in the IT sector matches their professional aspirations.
The CompTIA IT Fundamentals training program consists of nine key areas. It will provide you with the essential skills to manage computers, carry out effective maintenance and provide basic technical support. You'll learn how to install, configure, manage and diagnose various hardware and software components of desktop and laptop computers. You'll also learn about best practices in security and information systems management.
At the end of this three-day training course, you'll be ready to take the CompTIA FC0-U61 exam, included in our offer. This exam is a prerequisite for CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification (for more information, see the certification tab).

1. Computer Concepts and Terminology

  • Introduction to numbering systems (binary, hexadecimal and decimal).
  • Understanding data representation via ASCII and ANSI codes.
  • Analysis of data values and their importance in troubleshooting.

2. Computer infrastructure

  • Configuration and installation of peripherals on laptop and desktop computers.
  • Implementation of basic security measures for wireless networks (Wi-Fi).

3. Applications and Software

  • Administration and configuration of graphical application software.
  • Understanding the components of an operating system (OS) and analyzing how they work.
  • Explanation of the objectives of software architecture methods.

4. Software development

  • Introduction to different programming languages.
  • Interpretation and understanding of fundamental programming concepts.

5. Database Fundamentals

  • Understanding of database concepts, structures and objectives.
  • Discover database management systems.

6. Computer security

  • Understand the fundamental principles of confidentiality, integrity and availability.
  • Learn best practices for securing a computer.

This course is aimed at the following audiences:

  • people who want to gain a better understanding of installation, parameterization, software configuration, network connection and security aspects, as well as basic computer troubleshooting;
  • users with little experience in the IT field or who are thinking of launching their professional career;
    those wishing to obtain CompTIA ITF+ professional certification.

CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF +) requires the following prerequisites:

  • ability to read and understand English for the FC0-U61 exam.

By the end of the CompTIA ITF + training course, you will have achieved the following competency objectives:

  • understand IT notation systems;
  • explain the fundamentals of computer science;
  • describe the importance of data value and problem solving;
  • master the methods of configuring and installing standard
  • peripherals on a laptop or desktop computer;
  • correctly configure application software and describe the role of different application architecture models;

  • describe the different concepts, structures and purposes of a database, as well as the operating modes used to manage them;
  • become aware of the confidentiality, integrity and availability aspects of secure equipment, and the best practices to be applied in this area;
  • confirm that you have all the IT fundamentals you need to start your career in this field;
  • pass the FC0-U61 exam and obtain CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification (valid for life).
