Day 1: Presentation of SMCA and ISO 22301

  • Review of the training objectives and schedule.
    The reference systems and standards in force, in particular ISO 22301:2019.
  • The steps involved in obtaining ‘PECB Certified ISO 22301 Lead Auditor’ certification.
  • The basics of business continuity.
  • The fundamentals of a business continuity management system (BCMS).

Day 2: fundamentals, planning and starting an audit

  • The basic concepts and practices of an audit.
  • The effects of new methods and current technology on audit processes.
  • Evidence-based quality audit.
  • Risk-based quality audit.
  • The audit viability study.
  • Phase 1 of the audit.

Day 3: Implementation of internal audit activities (on site)

  • Planning the internal audit for phase 2.
  • Phase 2 of the audit.
  • Passing on information during the audit.
  • The various stages of the internal audit.
  • Drafting audit test plans.

Days 4 and 5: Concluding an audit

  • Drawing up an audit closure report and non-conformity reports.
  • Making audit documents available.
  • The management review in accordance with ISO 22301:2019.
  • Implementation of audit closure.
  • The auditor's analysis of the action plans.
  • The closing stages after the initial audit.
  • Managing an internal audit programme.

Taking the ISO 22301 Lead Auditor course requires the following prerequisites:

  • knowledge of the fundamental principles of ISO 22301 ;
  • advanced skills in the fundamentals of internal or external auditing.

On completion of the ISO 22301 Lead Auditor course, you will achieve the following objectives:

  • Understand how an Information Security Management System (ISMS) works in accordance with ISO 22301:2019;
    be able to describe the relationship between ISO 22301:2019 and the various associated international standards;
  • distinguish the activities of an auditor (planning, managing and following up a management system audit in accordance with ISO 19011:2018);
  • know how to manage an ISMS audit and a team of auditors;
    applying the directives of ISO 22301:2019 in the context of an ISMS audit;
  • have the knowledge and skills of an auditor;
    pass the ISO 22301 Lead Auditor exam and obtain your ‘PECB Certified ISO 22301 Lead Auditor’ certification.
