Modules cover topics ranging from securing passwords and recognizing phishing attacks, to secure Internet browsing.

Day 1: Introduction to Computer Security

  • Basic concepts: Introduction to the fundamental principles of computer security, including the CIA triad (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability) which is essential to understanding the objectives of cybersecurity12.
  • Importance of cybersecurity: Discussion of why cybersecurity is crucial in the modern world, where information systems are ubiquitous and often targeted by cyberattacks14.
  • Current Threats: Identification of threats such as viruses, worms, malware, phishing and social engineering, which represent significant risks to information security24.

Day 2: Securing the IT environment

  • Passwords: creation and management: best practices for creating strong passwords and managing their security, including the use of password managers15.
  • Using antivirus and firewalls: Introduction to essential tools for protecting systems against external and internal threats23.

Day 3: Safe Internet browsing

  • Safe vs. dubious sites: Learn how to identify safe web sites and those at risk of fraud or malware infection14.
  • Importance of secure connections (HTTPS): Explaining the importance of using secure connections to protect data exchanged online5.

Day 4: Personal Data Security

  • Protecting sensitive information: Strategies for protecting personal data against theft and misuse, with a focus on encryption and other protection techniques24.
  • Privacy regulations: Overview of laws and regulations concerning the protection of personal data, such as the RGPD in Europe, and their impact on business practices13.

Day 5: Incident Response

  • What to do in the event of a security breach? : Procedures to follow in the event of a security breach, including damage assessment and recovery of affected systems25.
  • Reporting incidents: Importance of reporting security incidents to the appropriate authorities and within the organization to improve future response to threats

CSCU training is aimed at a wide audience, including:
