Description

Businesses today are adopting cloud-based infrastructures to manage their IT systems, with hybrid and multi-cloud technologies becoming the norm. As IT professionals, it is crucial to master the terminology and fundamentals of cloud computing in order to effectively operate public cloud infrastructures or Software-as-a-Service solutions. The ability to analyse, design, measure and test cloud solutions is highly sought after in the marketplace.
The CompTIA Cloud+ course will give you the skills you need to evaluate and implement standard cloud services. You will learn how to maintain and design cloud architectures adapted to network, storage and virtualisation infrastructures. The programme also covers workload migration, cloud service provider management, automation and storage. Finally, you will discover how to secure cloud deployments by applying cybersecurity best practices, as well as troubleshooting.
At the end of this five-day training course, you will be prepared to take the CompTIA CV0-004 exam, which is included in our offering. This exam is a prerequisite for CompTIA Cloud+ certification (for more information, see the certification tab).

Day 1: Preparing and deploying a local system

  • Preparing a local system: Understanding the relationship between local components and cloud services, identifying the elements to be deployed, evaluating automation solutions and preparing for deployment in the cloud.
  • and prepare for deployment in the cloud.
  • Carrying out a pilot project: Managing changes, implementing the workflow in the cloud and finalising the deployment process.

Day 2: Testing and designing the Cloud Infrastructure

  • Testing the deployment of the pilot project: Identifying the components to be tested, carrying out high availability and load tests, then evaluating the results.
  • Design a secure cloud infrastructure: Configure an infrastructure for data protection and identify compliance requirements.

Day 3: Security and Access Management

  • Deploying the cloud environment securely: Creating a secure virtual network, identifying access requirements, securing exchanges in the cloud and managing component security.
  • Planning identity and access management: Identifying authentication technologies, planning account management policies and automating user provisioning.

Day 4: Calculating capacity and maintaining Cloud Services

  • Calculate processor and memory capacity: Determine the CPU power and memory capacity required for deployment in the Cloud.
  • Setting storage specifications: Identifying storage requirements, configuring options, assessing storage access and security.
  • Maintaining cloud services: Troubleshooting common errors and designing an automation system for maintenance.

Day 5: Business Continuity and Performance Analysis

  • Using backup and disaster recovery systems: Implementing backup, restoration and business continuity plans.
  • Analysing cloud computing performance: Monitoring and optimising system performance.
  • Resolve various deployment, security, connection and automation issues, including incident identification and resolution.

This course is aimed at

  • anyone wishing to develop a career in cloud computing or improve their skills in this area.
