Our CompTIA Linux+ training course gives you the skills you need to become a competent system administrator, capable of managing Linux servers in a comprehensive way. Comprising 14 modules, the course covers topics such as command line usage, user management, file and directory permissions, software configuration, security and much more.
At the end of this 5-day course, you will be prepared to take the CompTIA XK0-005 exam, which is a prerequisite for CompTIA Cloud+ certification. This certification attests to your mastery of the skills needed to work effectively with Linux systems in a variety of business environments.

Day 1: Performing Basic Linux Operations

  • Understand the culture of Linux development.
  • Prepare and run the system installation.

Day 2: Managing Linux User and Group Rights

  • Assign root rights.
  • Create, modify and delete users.
  • Create, modify and delete groups.
  • View existing users and groups.
  • Configure user account settings.

Day 3: Managing Linux permissions and property rights

  • Modify permissions on files and directories.
  • Change the ownership of files and directories.
  • Configure specific permissions and resolve access problems.

Day 4: Configuring Linux Storage

  • Create partitions and manage logical volumes.
  • Mounting and managing file systems.
  • Exploring directory hierarchies and solving storage problems.

Day 5: Managing Linux Files and Directories

  • Create and edit text files.
  • Perform searches on files.
  • Perform various tasks on files and directories, and manage text files.

This course is aimed at the following groups:

  • all professionals who wish to obtain CompTIA Linux + certification.

The CompTIA Linux+ training course requires the following prerequisites:

  • Ability to read and understand English, Japanese, Portuguese or Spanish for the CompTIA XK0-005 exam;
  • 1 year's practical experience on Linux servers and CompTIA A+, Network+ and Server+ certifications (recommended).

By the end of the CompTIA Linux+ training course, you will have achieved the following skills:

  • install the Linux operating system or one of its distributions and configure kernel modules (network parameters, storage parameters, etc.) ;
  • configuring the system's virtualisation functions and cloud services;
  • administer programs and services;
  • describe the role of a Linux server;
  • Explain the job scheduling process and how peripherals work;
  • be familiar with best practice in managing users, rights and authentication, as well as firewall and file management settings;
  • diagnose Linux features and processes in order to solve users' software or hardware problems;
  • create and run basic BASH scripts;
  • provide Linux version control using Git and automation systems;
  • pass the XK0-005 CompTIA Linux+ exam and gain certification.4
