The NSE 5 training course is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of centralized administration of FortiGate services via FortiManager 7. You'll learn how to deploy policies including single and multiple ADOMs, as well as manage shared objects, device records and policy packages. You'll also learn how to configure FortiManager 7 as a FortiGuard distribution server, and how to troubleshoot program issues. The course includes theoretical sessions and practical workshops to apply your new skills.
This course is part of the NSE 5 - Fortinet Network Security Analyst curriculum and prepares you for the Fortinet NSE 5 - FortiManager 6.4 exam (NSE5_FMG-6.4). Passing this exam, combined with another NSE 5 exam, such as FortiAnalyzer 6.4 (NSE5_FAZ-6.4), will enable you to obtain NSE 5 certification.

NSE 5 - FortiManager training requires the following prerequisites:

  • knowledge of firewall concepts within an IPv4 network ;
  • a basic understanding of network administration systems and FortiGate I and FortiGate II operations.
