Day 1:Understanding the Project Management Office
 

The first day is dedicated to discovering the PMO, its challenges and its fundamental concepts. Participants will learn the essential steps for setting up a project with the PMO, including :

  • A general presentation of the PMO.
  • Drawing up appropriate specifications.
  • Choosing the right PMO model.
  • Defining roles and responsibilities within the project.
  • Establishing guidelines for the PMO.
  • Creating a dashboard to monitor the project.

Day 2:Project Control and Disruption Management
 

The second day focuses on the methods and practices needed to ensure effective control of ongoing projects. Participants will learn how to :

  • Develop common standards and methods applicable to all projects.
  • Train the team on these models and put them into practice.
  • Collect and analyse progress data.
  • Use dashboards to summarise information effectively.
  • Practical workshop: Setting up a project control system.

Finally, the course looks at how to manage the conflicts and disruptions that can arise during a project. Participants will discover how to :

  • Communicate the added value of the PMO.
  • Resolve resistance to established standards.
  • Explain the importance of progress data in project monitoring.
