The Ministry of Finance and Budget is the government body responsible for the economic and financial management of the Central African Republic. It oversees the preparation and execution of the state budget, the mobilization of internal and external resources, as well as the management of public finances, expenditures, and treasury operations.

It is also responsible for fiscal policy, customs, public procurement, and financial and monetary regulation. The ministry plays a vital role in macroeconomic stability, budget transparency, and the implementation of economic and financial reforms.

The current minister oversees several key departments, including:

  • the General Directorate of the Treasury,
  • the General Directorate of Taxes,
  • the General Directorate of Customs,
  • the Financial and Budgetary Reform Unit.
